Donald Joseph Qualls, better called DJ Qualls is an American model and actor. In addition to his Road Trip role, he was also a part of The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Apart from his appearances as a character in the film, he's appeared in over 22 TV series such as Breaking Bad Supernatural Srubs Lost Law & Order and many more. Qualls is fighting Hodgkin's lymphoma since he was 14 years old. Following two years of treatment his cancer went into remission. However, the earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health as well as stunted development. As he got older, financially secure, it was his ultimate goal as his experience with poverty had been a part of his life. He stated, "I've been living so cheap for so many years and I'm desperate for to have financial security, otherwise my life will feel out-of-control to me." He also reminisces about his early years to help him stay motivated. He is a victim of cruelty and is heartbreaking for him. Both in real life and on screen, DJ would love to be a father. He does however admit that most directors do not choose him for these kinds of jobs. He would like to become the father of his child one day in order to spend more time with his child and less to his career.
